Spyropoulos Estate

Mantinia

The winery is located in the heart of Arcadia, in the ‘Polyampelos Mantinia’ at an altitude of 650 meters, just a few hundred yards from the walls, market, and theatre of the ancient city.

It was designed in 1987 by Dr. Argyris Petronotis, professor of Architecture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and its construction began in 1989.

The core of the winery is the striking traditional Arcadian stone tower. It dominates the modern building, as well as integrates the old with the new. It resembles the wine, which is a synthesis of tradition and technology.

All of our white and sparkling wines are produced at this winery, within the privately owned and organically cultivated Moschofilero vineyards. Our main installations and offices are also located at this location.

The vineyards of Mantinia

In the Protected Designation of Origin zone of Mantinia we cultivate more than 88 acres at an altitude ranging from 627 to 655 meters. Our vineyards are planted mainly with Moschofilero vines, and are located in three separate zones: around the winery, as well as at the vineyards of the villages of Zevgolatio and Agiorgitika.

In the vineyard surrounding the winery, in addition to Moschofilero, we also cultivate Syrah, Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. All of our vineyards are certified organically cultivated since 1994.
